| Description: | Faith, Hope and Charity (FHC) will host a building fundraiser event as part of their 20th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, July 14, 2012. The event will be held from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Men's Civic Center on Highway 6 in Marlin, Texas. The celebration will commemorate FHC's 20 years of service to the Marlin community. All funds raised will go towards the purchase of a new building for FHC. Shirley King, Executive Director, is anticipating a turnout in the hundreds. The fundraiser will include dinner, a speaker, an auction, and live entertainment. FHC is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization which has served the Marlin community since 1992. FHC provides an after-school care program and has also provided other community services over the years. Some of FHC's services have included sponsoring the annual “Worldwide Day of Play” for children, sponsoring an annual Winter Coat Giveaway for anyone in need, providing school supplies for children, sponsoring annual Thanksgiving Day dinners or Thanksgiving Basket giveaways, participating in the annual “Make a Difference Day,” and many other community support services. Tickets for the event are $20 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 13.
