(WACO) — Learn the science behind the food you eat with a free Molecular Gastronomy Class, set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 16, in the Greta W. Watson Culinary Arts Center on the Texas State Technical College campus.
Special guest Stephen Burns, executive chef of Aramark at Baylor University, will educate participants on the use of food chemicals, where they derive from and how food additives apply to present-day foods and their uses in a professional kitchen.
Demonstrations and samples of the work, along with a question and answer session, will be held.
The public is welcome to attend, but seats are limited. The class will be held in the Culinary Lab No. 1, in the Culinary Arts facility, located on Campus Drive.
