Description:
SUNVision4g Mrkt Grp is hosting the "THINK PINK" Breast Cancer Awareness vendor event drive on October 27th from 5pm – 8pm at the Best Western Convention & Suites Hotel. Purpose of this event: To Help Educate the Community about Breast Cancer. Breast Self-Exam: The purpose of monthly breast self-examination is for a woman to gain familiarity with her breasts so that any changes in texture, including the presence of a lump, can be detected as early as possible. The American Cancer Society (ACS) recommends that women, starting at age 20, should be educated on the benefits and limitations of performing a monthly BSE. The Breast Center, Kingdom Medical, The Health Department, and The American Cancer Society will be on site to answer any questions you may have about their services/treatments they offer to cancer survivors. Literature such as pamphlets and brochures will be on hand to give every attendee. For the whole month of October JcPenny is providing FREE hair salon services to Breast Cancer patients and Survivors. We will have raffles ($10 for body length tickets; $5 for 10 tickets) and gifts for our guests and vendors for assisting with making this event a success. Hors D'Oeuvres and refreshments will be provided. **A portion of the proceeds are going to a breast cancer organization** If there are any vendors that would like to participate, please send me your email so I can push out the vendor letter and application form. I am also looking for Sponsors for this event to help with anything “pink” (i.e. balloons, trinkets and anything dealing with Breast Cancer)
